Respect isn’t something you demand, it’s something you earn.

It’s about how you carry yourself, how you treat people, and the values you embody. If you want to command respect, there are certain behaviours you’ll need to prioritise in your day-to-day interactions.

1. Be true to your word.

Nothing destroys respect faster than empty promises. When you say you’ll do something, follow through. Reliability and consistency build trust, and trust is the foundation of respect. Even if it’s a small commitment, honouring your word demonstrates your integrity and dependability.
