Some people are easily irked — I get it, I used to be one of them.

However, there are some people who just seem completely unbothered by even the most annoying situations/people. How do they do it? They’ve cultivated personal strength. The more you do it, the less these things will even register to you, let alone ruin your day.

1. Someone else’s unsolicited opinion doesn’t send you into a tailspin.

Remember that time your neighbour commented on your “interesting” choice of garden gnomes? Yeah, we’ve all been there. But the stronger you become, the less those unsolicited opinions sting. You’ll realise that everyone’s entitled to their thoughts, but you don’t have to take them personally. It’s your life, your garden, your gnomes – embrace it all!

2. A cancelled plan doesn’t ruin your entire day.

We get it – cancelled plans can be a bummer. But when you’re strong, you see them as an opportunity, not a catastrophe. Maybe you’ll finally start that book you’ve been meaning to read, or you’ll simply enjoy some unexpected downtime. The world won’t end because your brunch date fell through, and you won’t let it ruin your day.

3. You don’t sweat the small stuff.

Spilled coffee? Missed the bus? Forgot your umbrella on a rainy day? These little annoyances happen to the best of us. But when you’re strong, you don’t let them derail your day. You take a deep breath, laugh it off, and move on. After all, life’s too short to stress over spilt lattes.

4. Social media doesn’t make you question your self-worth.

In the age of filters and curated feeds, it’s easy to compare yourself to other people and feel like you’re falling short. But the stronger you become, the less you’ll be swayed by those picture-perfect moments. You’ll know that social media is just a highlight reel, and you’ll focus on living your own authentic life, rather than trying to impress a bunch of strangers online.

5. A bad hair day doesn’t dictate your mood.

We’ve all had those mornings where our hair seems to have a mind of its own. But when you’re strong, you don’t let a bad hair day define your entire mood. Throw on a hat, rock a messy bun, or embrace the frizz – who cares? Your hair doesn’t define you, and it certainly won’t dictate your happiness.

6. A little rain doesn’t dampen your spirits.

After all, a little bit of rain never hurt anyone, and it certainly won’t stop you from living your best life.
